Terms and Conditions for Weenja Buy & Sell Website
By using Weenja buy and sell website, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
- General
- Weenja is a platform for buying and selling goods and services in Uganda. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of the items listed on our website.
- By registering for an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information about yourself and to keep your account information up-to-date.
- Buying and Selling
- When you buy or sell items on our website, you are entering into a contract with the other party. Tutunde is not a party to the contract and is not responsible for any disputes that may arise.
- Sellers are responsible for accurately describing their items and delivering them to the buyer. Buyers are responsible for paying for items and following through on their purchases.
- We reserve the right to remove any listings that violate our policies or are otherwise inappropriate.
- Payments
- Payments for subscription are processed through our secure payment system. We do not store your credit card information.
- We charge a commission on each transaction, which is deducted from the seller’s earnings.
- Prohibited Items
- The following items are not allowed to be sold on our website: illegal items, counterfeit items, stolen items, and items that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
- We reserve the right to remove any listings that violate our policies or are otherwise inappropriate.
- User Conduct
- You agree not to use our website for any illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- You agree not to harass, intimidate, or threaten other users.
- You agree not to use our website to advertise or promote products or services that are not listed on our website.
- Intellectual Property
- When you register on our platform and submit any data, text, pictures, or other materials (collectively, “User Content”), you retain ownership of the intellectual property rights in such registration information and User Content. We do not claim any ownership of the copyright or other proprietary intellectual property rights in your User Content. However, you agree that we may keep copies of your registration information and User Content and use them as necessary to operate the service and in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- By using our service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable, perpetual, irrevocable right to copy, modify, adapt, store, publish, distribute, publicly display and perform, communicate and make available to the public your User Content in connection with the service. This includes the right to use and make your User Content public on our affiliated website, as well as for our marketing, advertising, and other purposes.
- You agree, represent, and warrant that your use of the service, or any portion thereof, will not infringe or violate the rights of any other party, breach any contract, or legal duty to any other parties.
- The Administrator provides all services on the platform “as is,” “as available,” and “with all faults.” As such, the Administrator disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of condition, quality, life duration, performance, accuracy, reliability, commercial value, and suitability for specific purposes. The Administrator hereby excludes all such warranties and liabilities.
- The Administrator has no control over and does not guarantee the existence, quality, safety, or legality of goods and services posted by users on the platform. Additionally, the Administrator does not guarantee the trustworthiness or accuracy of information provided by users in their announcements or the ability of sellers to sell goods or provide services or the ability of buyers to pay for goods or services. Furthermore, the Administrator does not guarantee that a user will complete a transaction or that the manufacturing, import, export, offer, displaying, purchase, sale, advertising, and/or use of products or services offered or displayed on the platform do not infringe any third parties’ rights. Therefore, the Administrator expressly disclaims any liability in connection with materials and information posted by users on the platform.
- You are encouraged to check goods before making a payment and to request that the seller provides documents confirming compliance of the goods with applicable laws, regulations, rules, guidelines, and standards.
- You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your safety and that you should meet with other individuals for completion of a transaction only in safe public places during daylight hours. You are also solely responsible for conducting due diligence of any individual or organization requesting a meeting to conduct a job interview or to complete a transaction. The Administrator disclaims any responsibility for your interaction with any individual or organization.
- Limitation of Liability
- Weenja is not responsible for any damages that may arise from your use of our website, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or personal injury.
- In no event shall our liability exceed the amount of the transaction in question.
- Termination
- We may terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms and conditions or if we believe that your account poses a risk to our website or our users.
- Changes to Terms and Conditions
- We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website.
- Governing Law
- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Uganda.
